5. Fossils, fungi and furry friends

Each Nature Heroes adventure focuses on a different area of the natural world. By doing this, we’re helping you to understand how each plant, animal and fungus plays a key role in sustaining our ecosystems.

With Wakehurst being a living laboratory, our landscape is open and ready for investigation. Next up, we're delving into natural history in a hunt for dinosaur nests and eggs with Dino Detectives!

6. Learn practical skills each holiday

Nature Heroes is all about giving you the practical skills you need to protect nature. Learn how to find fungi, spot birds, identify flowers and much more!

With new interactive activities in each challenge, your nature knowledge will keep on growing. Take what you've discovered back home or into the classroom, to impress your friends and family!

Haywards Heath is our closest station if travelling by train. Bus route 272 goes from the station to right outside our door.

8. An accessible adventure for all

We believe that everyone should have access to green spaces, so we’ve made our gardens accessible for everyone.

Children aged 16 and under go free, and 17-25-year-olds can enter the gardens for just £7.50. We also offer a £1 ticket for anyone receiving Universal or Pension Credit.

Once you’re in the gardens, you’ll find our pathways are buggy and wheelchair-friendly, and we have free mobility scooters available to hire.
